About our story…
It can be traced back to the days when the Shiripuno River could be explored only by pitching tent camps along the beach.
Those adventures were carried out by Eugenia Nieto Sevilla, a true adventurous naturalist guide from several national parks in Ecuador.
Eugenia and her family, along with Lucia Nieto Sevilla and Patricio Cañadas, were the kick-starters of one of the most remote tourist facilities in the Yasuni Biosphere Reserve.

Eugenia lives in Quito with her family.
She successfully runs her tour operator, Jungal Tours, customizing Galapagos Islands cruises & Jungle Trips in Ecuador.
Lucia Nieto Sevilla
Lucia, Carolina y Sofia en la playa.
Lucia is the manager of Shiripuno Lodge.
Her commitment is to make true the wishes of our visitors.
She lives in Quito with her family.
Patricio Canadas
Patricio has navigated the Napo River with the post office.
He runs the logistics in Coca and Quito, which includes delivering all supplies to the final destination.
Jarol Fernando Vaca
Fernando’s Family
Jarol or Fernando has been in the Yasuni since 1998, leading nature trips.
He designed the trail network and started Wildlife Inventory.
He lives in Quito with his family: Lucia, Sofia, Carolina y Andres.
